Action Against Hunger is a non-governmental, non-political, non-denominational and non-profit organization, established in France in 1979. Action Against Hunger’s vocation is to save lives by combating hunger, diseases, and other crises threatening the lives of helpless men, women and children. Action Against Hunger opened a mission in Lebanon in August 2006.
Delivery of Priority Communications Outputs for Action Against Hunger Lebanon
Scope of work: The consultancy aims to provide visibility and communications services for a multi-sector
project implemented across the three bases covered by Action Against Hunger (ACF) in Lebanon. The
consultant will be based ACF’s office in Beirut, with frequent liaison with ACF bases and regular travel to
the field. They will report to the Advocacy and Communications Coordinator and liaise as needed with the
Communications Team in ACF Spain HQ.
1. Key Tasks:
• Coordinate the production of two videos, one in Bekaa and one in South Lebanon, highlighting the impact of the conflict and ACF’s response. Work with field representatives to define locations, script and participants. Engage an external videographer to film the videos across two separate days (one day per video). Manage the direction of the videos in the field and liaise with the videographer throughout the editing process to deliver high-quality final products, in Arabic with English subtitles.
• Independently produce four short videos for social media, in Arabic with English subtitles, covering different aspects of the ACF response through the project.
• Coordinate the production of visibility materials (banners, backdrops, etc) to use in the videos as required, referencing ACF’s activity and the donor’s support.
• Coordinate the production of a booklet of 36 human stories, incorporating four from each sector (health & nutrition, food security & livelihoods, WASH), and each base (Tyre, Zahle, Beirut/North). Stories should be sourced from focal points in the field, along with pictures, and printed in English, French and Arabic.
• Coordinate the production of two designed factsheets documenting the project activities, drawing on data and images from the field.
• Liaise directly with the donor on behalf of Action Against Hunger to ensure all outputs meet contractual requirements and quality expectations.
• Manage dissemination of the above communications outputs across ACF platforms, as required by the donor.
2. Objective of the Consultancy:
• Document and communicate ACF activities under the specified project, working closely with field teams from the three bases. Ensure adherence to donor guidelines and ACF red lines in all outputs. Manage time effectively to ensure all deadlines are met: work on all deliverables must begin by 20 October 2025 and completed within three weeks.
3. Deliverables:
• Two 1.5-to-3-minute videos, produced using an external videographer, covering community needs and ACF response in two key locations, featuring input from ACF staff, beneficiaries and local authorities.
• Four 1.5-to-3-minute videos, self-filmed and produced, highlighting ACF’s overall response in different sectors.
• A booklet of 36 human stories, including pictures, highlighting ACF’s activities in each sector and location.
• Two factsheets, two pages each, documenting the project’s activities in two separate locations.
4. Consultant Requirements:
• At least 5 years’ experience in media and communication, producing written and audio-visual content (such as photo essays, professional pictures and videos, testimonies, human interest stories, press releases, articles) as well as graphic and publication design (infographics, images, brochures, publications, visibility material).
• Including at least 2 years’ experience in the humanitarian/development sector.
• Experience producing videos and video-editing on Canva, familiarity with Windows Domain, Office Software, Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Indesign, Illustrator, Premier, After Effects) and other relevant creative software.
• Experience in social media management and reporting using various management and analytic tools, design of infographics, images, and documents, collecting information, leading interviews with beneficiaries, creative communication products.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, strong coordination and organizational abilities, dynamic and proactive personality, ability to make informed decisions and work independently.
5. Evaluation of Application:
Applications will be evaluated both technically and financially, based on the documents submitted with each offer.
Offers will be assessed on a rolling basis throughout the advertisement period.
