ABOUT ABAAD
ABAAD – Resource Center for Gender Equality is a UN ECOSOC-accredited organization that aims to achieve gender equality as an essential condition for sustainable social and economic development in the MENA region.
ABAAD promotes gender justice through a rights-based approach and works to end gender-based violence (GBV) by providing holistic protection and support services for women and girls, engaging men in positive masculinity, and building institutional and community capacities to advance gender equality and protection.
ABOUT THE PROJECT
ABAAD, in partnership with UNHCR Geneva, is implementing a project to strengthen the capacities of Women-Led Organizations (WLOs) serving or led by refugee women.
The project aims to:
- Enhance technical skills on GBV prevention and response.
- Strengthen organizational systems, governance, and strategic planning.
- Improve digital presence and communication capacities for advocacy and visibility.
To support the implementation of this initiative, ABAAD is establishing a Roster of Consultants with expertise in the below thematic areas to deliver short-term online training sessions and coaching modules.
THEMATIC AREAS
Interested consultants may apply for one or more of the following areas of expertise:
Organizational Development & Management
- Results-Based Management
- Project Cycle Management
- Strategic Planning,Monitoring, Evaluation, Reporting & Learning (PMERL)
- Accountability
- Governance
- Fundraising Skills
Communications & Digital Presence
- Communication, Visibility & Digital Presence (delivered in collaboration with ABAAD’s communications team)
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design, adapt, and deliver engaging and participatory training sessions (in English and/or Arabic).
- Develop or update training materials and tools aligned with ABAAD’s standards and project objectives.
- Conduct pre- and post-training assessments to measure knowledge and skill improvement.
- Prepare concise training reports including key outcomes, participant feedback, and recommendations.
- Coordinate closely with ABAAD’s Project Team to align training content with the capacity-building framework for WLOs.
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
- Proven experience (minimum 3–5 years) in the selected thematic area(s).
- Strong facilitation skills and ability to adapt content for diverse audiences.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Fluency in English and Arabic (spoken and written).
- Demonstrated commitment to gender equality, safeguarding, and accountability principles.
- Prior experience working with civil society organizations, preferably women-led or refugee-focused, is an asset.
