PSS Focal Point

Job purpose:

The PSS Focal Point will ensure the effective planning, coordination, and implementation of psychosocial support activities across assigned centers.
They will oversee the quality of PSS sessions and provide technical guidance to facilitators and social workers.
The position aims to strengthen the emotional well-being and resilience of children, youth, and caregivers.
They will also contribute to capacity building, monitoring, and reporting on psychosocial interventions.

 

Job responsibilities

Coordinate and supervise the implementation of structured and non-structured PSS activities in line with donor and organizational guidelines.
Provide regular coaching, mentoring, and technical support to PSS facilitators and volunteers.
Ensure timely data collection, documentation, and submission of reports, success stories, and attendance sheets.
Collaborate with the Child Protection and Education teams to ensure integrated service delivery and proper referrals.

Qualification and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Education, or a related field is required.
Previous experience in coordination, team supervision, and reporting is an asset

Skills

Strong knowledge of PSS principles, child development, and protection standards.
Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple tasks, and maintain confidentiality.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data collection tools
