Job purpose:
The Outreach Volunteer will support community engagement and awareness activities within the target areas.
They will identify, mobilize, and refer children, youth, and caregivers to relevant programs and services.
The position aims to strengthen linkages between the community and the organization’s centers and partners.
They will contribute to ensuring inclusive participation and accurate data collection during outreach initiatives.
Job responsibilities
Conduct door-to-door visits, field assessments, and awareness sessions in coordination with center staff.
Identify and refer children and families in need of education, protection, or psychosocial support services.
Support registration, attendance follow-up, and community events to enhance participation and retention.
Report outreach findings, challenges, and success stories to the focal point and ensure timely submission of forms.
Qualification and Experience
High school diploma required; university students or graduates in social sciences, education, or related fields preferred.
Previous experience in outreach, data collection, or community-based work is an advantage.
Experience working with vulnerable groups, including children and refugees, is highly desirable.
Knowledge of the local context and community dynamics is essential.
Skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a proactive and respectful approach to communities.
Ability to work independently and as part of a diverse team.
Good organizational skills and attention to detail in data recording and reporting.
Basic computer literacy (Excel, Word, Kobo) and flexibility to work in the field.
