Job purpose:
The Youth Facilitator will lead and implement Youth Friendly Space (YFS) activities designed to empower adolescents and young adults.
They will create a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment that promotes learning, life skills, and active citizenship.
The position aims to strengthen youth participation and resilience through structured sessions and community initiatives.
The facilitator will also ensure alignment with program objectives and contribute to reporting and documentation.
Job responsibilities
Plan, prepare, and deliver youth-focused sessions including life skills, employability, and civic engagement activities.
Encourage youth participation in discussions, awareness campaigns, and community projects.
Ensure safe and inclusive learning spaces by applying PSS and safeguarding principles in all activities.
Coordinate with the center team to document attendance, success stories, and feedback from participants.
Qualification and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Education, Social Work, Psychology, or related field preferred.
At least 1–2 years of experience working with adolescents and youth in NGO or community settings.
Experience in facilitating life skills, vocational, or recreational sessions is desirable.
Previous involvement in youth-led or community-based initiatives is an advantage
Skills
Excellent facilitation, communication, and motivational skills with young people.
Ability to manage group dynamics and encourage teamwork, creativity, and leadership.
Good organizational and reporting skills with attention to participation and inclusivity.
Proficiency in basic computer tools (Word, Excel) and ability to work flexibly in a dynamic environment.
