1-Background and Operational Environment

Mada Association and Nation Station (NS) are implementing a critical food security intervention in the suburbs of Beirut, funded by OCHA. This project goes beyond simple distribution; it is a dynamic, technology-integrated operation aimed at providing timely, organized, and accountable support to vulnerable communities.

Our working environment is a hub of activity that combines hands-on logistics with modern humanitarian practices. Team members are exposed to the entire program cycle, from supply chain management using digital inventory systems to community engagement and impact analysis. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain comprehensive experience in a grassroots humanitarian setting, contributing to an operation where technology, data, and community feedback are central to success. Successful candidates will be integral members of a team managing everything from warehouse logistics to the preparation of community workshops and the collection of vital field data.

2-Overall Objective

The Aid Distribution Role will be a core part of the implementation team, responsible for executing a variety of daily tasks that ensure the smooth and effective running of the food aid program. The role combines hands-on logistical work with responsibilities in data collection and operational support.

 

3-Key Responsibilities

A. Program Logistics and Warehouse Management (60%):Execute the end-to-end process of food parcel preparation, including assembly, quality control checks (expiry dates, packaging integrity), and ensuring adherence to standardized checklists.

Utilize digital tools for tracking inventory, managing stock levels, and reporting on supply movements.

Maintain a clean, safe, and highly organized warehouse environment to facilitate efficient workflow.

Assist in the loading, unloading, and dispatch of aid parcels for distribution.

 

B. Data Collection and Program Support (30%)

Support the Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) team by participating in field-level data collection, including beneficiary registration, post-distribution monitoring surveys, and feedback collection using mobile data collection platforms (e.g., KoboToolbox).

Ensure the accuracy and completeness of all collected data before submission.

Assist in the preparation and setup of materials for community distributions and related awareness workshops or focus group discussions.

 

C. Team Collaboration (10%)

Participate in daily team briefings and planning sessions.

Work collaboratively and flexibly with other team members to address operational challenges and meet daily targets.

Provide support to other program activities as required.

 

4-Qualifications and Skills

Required:

Demonstrated ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and carrying moderate weights.

Strong attention to detail and ability to follow complex instructions accurately.

A collaborative and positive team spirit, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Basic digital literacy and comfort using smartphones or tablets for data entry.

Commitment to humanitarian principles and the values of Nation Station.

Desirable:

Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or operational role, preferably within an NGO context.

Familiarity with mobile data collection tools (KoboToolbox, ODK, etc.).

Good communication skills for potential interaction with community members.

Ability to work effectively under pressure in a dynamic environment.
