MHPSS Psychologist - Rmeish

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provides individual and group counseling sessions to individuals experiencing trauma, stress, anxiety, depression, or other mental health concerns.
• Provides counseling to beneficiaries in OML.
• Develops individualized treatment plans based on assessments and patient needs.
• Develops mental health and psychosocial support programs in line with OML mission and objectives.
• Implements programs aimed at preventing mental health disorders and promoting emotional well-being.
• Maintains detailed case notes and confidential records in compliance with ethical and legal standards.
• Refers patients to specialized services if necessary.
• Prepares and submits reports to the management, outlining the progress, outcomes, and challenges of mental health initiatives.
• Conducts case-by-case needs assessments for the diagnosis of psychological disorders
• Conducts mental health awareness sessions when needed and requested
• Applies and follows code of ethics, values, mission, and vision of Order of Malta – Lebanon
• Performs other related duties assigned by the Head of Health and/or Head of Administration and Accreditation of CHCs

QUALIFICATIONS

• Master’s degree in psychology
• Relevant certifications or training in trauma, crisis intervention, or social work is a plus
• At least 2–3 years of experience in psychological support
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work sensitively and empathetically with diverse populations.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Knowledge of mental health disorders
• Compassionate, patient, and a good listener.
• Strong problem-solving and crisis management skills.
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately
• Fluency in Arabic, and one additional language (French or English) is a plus
