Inclusion Officer

The René Moawad Foundation has a zero tolerance to Sexual Exploitation and Abuse of beneficiaries.  Protection from Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA) is everyone’s responsibility and all staff are required to adhere to the Code of Conduct, that enshrines principles of PSEA, always (both during work hours and outside work hours).  Familiarization with, and adherence to, the Code of Conduct is an essential requirement of all staff, in addition to related mandatory training.  All staff must ensure that they understand and act in accordance with this clause.

Major Responsibilities: 

  • Supports the education teams in identifying students with disabilities at the different stages of the education programme, including registration and enrolment.
  • Offers insights for enhancing curriculum design and teaching methods to cater to diverse learners, including those with disabilities.
  • Develops, revises, and oversees educational materials and training resources as required.
  • Supports tutors in developing and executing lesson plans, assessments, and inclusive teaching strategies.
  • Conducts classroom observations to provide actionable feedback.
  • Ensures accessibility of school/classroom materials for all students, including those with disabilities.
  • Collaborates with the Country Inclusion Officer to assess the effectiveness of the inclusive education interventions.
  • Reports on program outcomes, and helps in developing and improving program activities to meet community needs.
  • Collaborates closely with the education and livelihood teams, and the Country Inclusion Officer to provide technical and operational support.
  • Works with the tutors and other education team members to develop Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for children with disabilities.
  • Regularly meets with education officers, school coordinators, and when needed, with social workers and project psychologists.
  • Supports the project teams in mapping local stakeholders and coordinating with them for external referrals of beneficiaries with disabilities.
  • Identifies training needs and facilitates professional development interventions in education and livelihood through training and mentoring.
  • Conducts inclusion-related awareness sessions and social events for beneficiaries in collaboration with the education officer, livelihood officer and the Country Inclusion Officer.

Professional Standards:

All RMF staff are required to adhere to the RMF policies and practices with respect to child protection minimum standards, code of conduct, health and safety, equal opportunities and other relevant policies and procedures.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Human Rights, Gender Studies, Sociology, or a related field. A Master’s degree is an advantage.
  • Relevant experience in inclusion, diversity, equity, or related work.
  • Strong knowledge of inclusive practices and relevant legal frameworks.
  • Experience in conducting training, workshops, or community engagement activities.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with diverse groups and promote inclusive values.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience working in humanitarian sector is desirable.
  • Excellent knowledge of formal and non-formal education programs in Lebanon.
  • Proficiency in spoken and written Arabic and English.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, coordination, and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PPT, Excel). Good knowledge of Kobo and Washington Group Survey is an asset.
  • Skilled in report writing.
  • Willingness to travel to field locations (North Lebanon Governorate).
  • Commitment to RMF’s mission, vision, and values.

  • High integrity and honesty; ability to deal tactfully and discreetly with people, situations, and information.
