Position Summary
The Child Protection (CP) Facilitator will plan and implement structured psychosocial support (PSS) and recreational activities for children and caregivers. The role focuses on creating a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment where children can learn, express themselves, and strengthen their psychosocial well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
Activity Planning and Implementation
- Design and implement age-appropriate PSS and recreational activities for children and caregivers based on identified needs and available curricula.
- Ensure activities are inclusive, interactive, and adapted to the abilities and profiles of participants, including children with disabilities.
- Provide direct psychosocial support through structured sessions and group activities.
- Foster a child-friendly, safe, and respectful environment where all participants feel valued and protected.
- Ensure gender balance, cultural sensitivity, and equal participation in all activities.
- Identify and refer children at risk to the Social Worker following internal referral pathways and protection protocols.
Coordination and Collaboration
- Coordinate with the Social Worker and other team members to plan and implement activities in the center or outreach locations.
- Contribute to team meetings and collaborative planning under the Child Protection program.
- Support team cohesion and active participation during events and community activities.
Monitoring, Reporting, and Learning
- Use monitoring and evaluation tools (attendance sheets, feedback forms, assessments) to track participation and outcomes.
- Develop and update weekly action plans for activities in coordination with the Social Worker.
- Submit weekly reports on activities, challenges, and success stories.
- Contribute to monthly narrative reports.
- Participate in relevant internal and external trainings for capacity building.
Qualifications, Skills and Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Education, or another relevant field.
- Minimum of 2–3 years of experience in the humanitarian sector, preferably in child protection or psychosocial support.
- Strong knowledge of Child Protection principles and child-friendly facilitation methods.
- Excellent communication and group facilitation skills.
- Proficiency in Arabic and English (written and spoken).
- Good command of Microsoft Office and basic data entry tools.
- Strong sense of responsibility, teamwork, and respect for diversity and humanitarian values.
