Position Summary
The Child Protection Psychotherapist will provide therapeutic support to children, adolescents, and their caregivers, addressing psychosocial and mental health needs. The role involves conducting individual follow-ups, developing intervention plans, coordinating with case management team, and ensuring timely referrals and documentation in line with national and international protection standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify psychological needs of children and their families and provide tailored psychosocial support.
- Conduct individual therapeutic follow-up sessions, including home visits, as needed.
- Collaborate closely with Case Workers and Social Workers to develop intervention plans and implement follow-ups.
- Make timely referrals to appropriate internal or external services when necessary.
- Complete intake assessments, evaluations, treatment recommendations, and other documentation.
- Implement Lebanese child protection laws and National SOPs on case management, as well as the procedures of the resilience program.
- Collect, analyze, and synthesize data to inform interventions and monitor progress.
- Coordinate with local actors, authorities, and relevant professionals as needed.
- Participate in trainings, internal and inter-agency meetings, and professional development activities.
- Report promptly to the Case Management Supervisor and HQ, and attend HQ meetings when required.
Qualifications, Skills and Requirements:
- MA in Clinical Psychology with a valid work permit from the MoPH.
- Minimum of 3 years of practical experience in protection projects with international or national NGOs.
- Solid understanding of Child Protection principles, case management, safe identification, referral processes, and PSEA guidelines.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills; able to work independently and under pressure.
- Experience working with multiple age groups, including children and adolescents.
- Fluency in Arabic and English (written and spoken).
