English Trainer

Organizational Background

Tahaddi Lebanon is a Lebanese NGO established in 2008 to address urban poverty through access to education, health, and psychosocial support. Based in Hay El Gharbeh, Southern Beirut, Tahaddi works in solidarity with families facing extreme socioeconomic hardship. Through its non-formal education center, health clinic, psychosocial unit, and income-generating sewing workshop, Tahaddi supports over 1,000 families annually with a committed team of over 90 staff members.

Job Purpose

Tahaddi is seeking a qualified English Trainer to implement a 5-6-week English language course The program aims to strengthen participants’ communication skills and confidence in English, the trainer will design and deliver interactive lessons, assess learner progress, and ensure an engaging, inclusive, and effective learning experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and interactive lessons (approximately 20 hours per week).
• Prepare lesson plans, learning materials, and exercises suited to different levels of English proficiency.
• Conduct entry and exit assessments to monitor and evaluate learner progress.
• Foster a supportive classroom atmosphere that encourages participation and confidence.
• Maintain accurate attendance, progress tracking, and reporting documentation.
• Collaborate with YTP+ Coordinator to ensure effective program coordination.
• Support in submitting a final summary report detailing achievements, challenges, and recommendations.
• Adhere to Tahaddi’s safeguarding, PSEA, and Code of Conduct policies at all times.

Qualifications & Experience

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in English, Education, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience teaching English to youth or adults.
• Proven ability to design short-term, English language programs.
• Excellent command of English (spoken and written); good knowledge of Arabic is an asset.
• Strong communication and facilitation skills with diverse learners.

Preferred:

• Previous experience working with NGOs or vulnerable communities.
• Familiarity with interactive and digital teaching tools.

Working Conditions

• Duration: 5-6 weeks (~100 hours in total).
• Starting Date: 01/03/2026
• Schedule: Flexible, as per Tahaddi’s schedule
• Location: Tahaddi Education Center – Beirut.

Compensation: Based on Tahaddi’s consultant rates and experience.
