Nusaned is a humanitarian, community-based and volunteer organisation. We believe that the power to create change comes from working collaboratively. Nusaned does not engage in any political activity, and remains at equal distance from all religions. We support communities based on a non-biased, egalitarian and value-based needs assessment process. Our mission is to support under-served Lebanese communities to become self-sustaining by offering access to food security, building shelter and providing ongoing opportunities for productive economies. We do this through innovative and effective partnerships with communities as well as locally engaged, international organizations and donors. Nusaned adopts a zero-tolerance approach towards sexual exploitation and abuse. Nusaned holds a responsibility to protect people we work with, and who work for us, and will continuously strive to prevent sexual exploitation and abuse from occurring. Our actions are informed by a survivor-centred approach which means that the needs and wishes of survivors guide our response, that survivors are treated with dignity and respect, and the rights of survivors to privacy and support are prioritized Summary

Soft Skills Training – Empowerment through Communication,
Marketing & Employability
Empowering Crisis-Affected Women through Economic and Livelihood Support
1.
Background
This soft skills training is part of a larger project by Nusaned and UN Women to support women affected by the crisis in Lebanon. It complements hands-on training in Mouneh, Eco Nawling, weaving, and Painting by helping participants build the personal and professional skills they need to succeed.
The training covers key topics like communication, marketing, using social media, writing a CV, setting up an email, and building confidence all aimed at improving their chances of finding work or starting their own business.
Target groups: Women and girls participating in the Mouneh, Eco Nawl, and Painting components across Baalbek, South Lebanon (Tyr), and Mount Lebanon.
2.
Objectives
The Soft Skills Training aims to:
●
Provide each participant group (approx. 10-15 women per activity) with 15 hours of structured soft skills development.
●
Enhance participants' self-confidence, communication abilities, and digital literacy.
●
Equip women with fundamental knowledge of business, branding, and customer relations to complement their vocational skills.
3.
Key Challenges and Considerations
Participants come from diverse backgrounds with different levels of experience and access to technology:
●
Some women may be familiar with social media and digital tools, while others may have limited or no experience using phones, email, or the internet.
●
Many participants may not have access to smartphones, laptops, or Wi-Fi at home.
●
Some may have low literacy or educational levels, which can affect how they understand certain topics.

●
There may also be age differences, with older women less exposed to digital communication or job-seeking tools.
These challenges will be addressed by employing inclusive, hands-on teaching methods and creative ideation activities suitable for all experience levels.
4.
Methodology
The soft skills training will be delivered to participants enrolled in three main vocational components of the project:
●
Training Groups: Painting (16 women in Beirut-Mount Lebanon), Mouneh (15 women in each of Baalbek and Tyr, total 30), and Eco Nawl (10 women in each of three locations: Beirut, South, and Baalbek, total 30).
●
Training Schedule: 15 hours of training, delivered over 3 interactive sessions lasting approximately 4-5 hours each.
⮚
The training will follow a participatory and inclusive approach, using simplified language, visual tools, and practical exercises to accommodate women with low literacy levels or limited digital experience. Content will be tailored to the vocational context of each group and designed to be accessible to women of all ages and backgrounds, including those with no access to technology or formal education.
