CP Psychologist - Shatila

Reports To : Protection Coordinator

Job Purpose : Provide psychological support and counseling for beneficiaries, both on an individual and group level, and support B&Z staff to improve the quality of specialized services provided to individuals at risk.

Major Activities :

  • Offer individual counseling sessions to men, women, and children, either through drop-ins or referrals from other center staff.
  • Develop and implement individualized counseling plans based on needs assessments.
  • Conduct group therapy sessions for children facing emotional or social challenges related to trauma, displacement, or other difficult experiences.
  • Provide technical support to the Case Manager, particularly in dealing with challenging cases, setting priorities, types of intervention, and referrals.
  • Conduct short-term emotional support and counseling for beneficiaries.
  • Inform Case Workers about cases requiring mental health referrals.
  • Assist Case Workers in making referrals to mental health agencies.
  • Assist other center staff in responding to different cases within activities.
  • Conduct case conferences about shared cases with the Case Manager and others if necessary.
  • Provide feedback on topics to prioritize for awareness sessions
  • Report problems and training needs identified during the monitoring of psychological activities to the Protection Officer.
  • Provide support and coordination to teachers in the identification of cases and follow-up on referrals.
  • Produce accurate weekly and monthly reports as per the schedule shared with the Protection Officer.
  • Accomplish any other assignments given by the supervisor.

  • Ensuring that beneficiaries have access to the appropriate service.
  • Ensuring that the Foundation’s team interacts with beneficiaries within the principles of the B&Z, especially preserving dignity and avoiding psychological harm.
  • Achieving the required number of beneficiaries at the end of the program while ensuring the quality of work.
  • Ensure that a safe environment is provided for the child in the institution and the school.
  • Create positive communication with the team.

Education & Experience :

  • Bachelor Degree in Psychology or other related field At least 3 years’ experience in the field of psychological support
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience in a clinical setting.
  • Understanding and commitment to child’s rights and protection;
  • Experience providing individual counseling services;
  • Computer literacy (Word, Excel, Outlook);
  • Analytical thinking and reporting skills
