Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Adhere to standards of care and professional practice
- Demonstrate required assessment and therapeutic skills
- Triage walk-in patients and assess their condition
- Monitor growth for all children under 5 years.
- Conduct malnutrition screening, assessment, reporting and referral.
- Provide First Aid (Basic Life Support), ECGs, wound care, burn/sting dressing
- Provide family planning services in the absence of a midwife, including counselling
- Provide health education for individuals and families
- Accurately document and input patient data in electronic medical records
- Assist physicians with clinic preparation, patient preparation, documenting tests, procedures (e.g., ECGs, wound dressing, oxygen/nebulizer therapy)
- Review lab/radiology results, report abnormal findings to physicians and patients
- Follow physician instructions and arrange urgent referrals
- Ensure availability of necessary medical supplies/equipment
- Perform clerical/admin tasks as needed
- Collaborate with health educator/social worker
- Lead or participate in group/individual education sessions
- Promote health and disease prevention
- Develop and implement patient education plans
- Document all education activities
- Monitor cold chain and vaccine storage
- Administer age-appropriate vaccines in the center or during outreach/school campaigns
- Register and report immunization data to MoPH systems
- Educate caregivers on post-vaccine care
- Conduct monthly vaccine statistics and order missing vaccines
- Report adverse events post-immunization to MoPH
- Follow occupational safety guidelines (infection control, fire safety, evacuation plans)
- Use personal protective equipment (PPE) correctly
- Ensure medical equipment is clean, functional, and properly stored
- Report any safety breaches, hazards, or incidents
Qualifications:
- Licensed Registered-Nurse (BS in Nursing) with at least 2 years of Paediatric/vaccination experience
- MoPH Nursing License to Practice in Lebanon (is a must)
- Registered with the Order of Nurses in Lebanon
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Familiarity with medical equipment used in PHCs
- Computer proficiency (electronic medical records, excel,..)
- Language: Arabic + English or French
