Gender Trainer

1. Objective

The project aims to enhance environmental health in Lebanon by promoting sustainable agricultural practices and income generation through circular economy principles. It seeks to educate communities in North Lebanon on the ecological use of natural resources and build resilient livelihoods for vulnerable populations. Additionally, the project focuses on training teachers to raise awareness among children about climate change and sustainable agriculture. Through these efforts, the project supports long-term environmental well-being and economic stability in the region.

2. Scope of Work

The project will identify and select up to 50 women and young girls aged 18 to 35 from the target community in North Lebanon. The group will consist of 30 women who have successfully completed the agroecological techniques training, and another 20 girls and women from the community.

The selected participants will take part in a series of two gender-oriented training sessions. The participants will be divided into two groups of 25 people each. Together, these groups will attend a total of four sessions, with each group attending two sessions (4 sessions, two topics, two groups of 25 participants)

Timeline: up to 4 days during the first two weeks of December 2025.

Duration of each session: 2 hours.

Design and deliver training modules on:

• Gender Equality in Sustainable Agriculture
• Advocacy and Leadership Skills for Effective Community Engagement

The trainer must develop a rapid assessment to identify the key needs of the selected participants and their knowledge level to address the gaps and include tailored content in the curriculum. Also, the trainer must develop a training curriculum in both English and Arabic, based on the assessment findings. A presentation in Arabic and English, using the project template, should be shared with FTL prior to the training sessions.

3. Deliverables:

• Needs assessment
• Develop the training curriculum in Arabic and English versions.
• Presentation in Arabic and English versions using the project's template
• Conduct a total of 4 training sessions on the listed topics above.
• Assess and analyze beneficiary performance and topic understanding through relevant Pre and Post tests.
• Submit timely pre- and post-training reports for each training given.

4.  Duration and Timeline

The total duration should not exceed 6 working days from the signature of the agreement.

5. Location of Implementation

• The services will be delivered in the North area
• Activities may require travel to various sites within the targeted locations.

6. Qualifications of the Service Provider

The applicant (individual or company) must demonstrate:

• University degree in gender equality or social science
• Minimum 5 years’ experience as a trainer.
• Proven knowledge of Fair-Trade principles.
• Proven presentation skills.
• Drives results.

7. Required Documents for Submission

All applicants (Companies or Individuals) should submit the following:

• Technical Proposal (description of approach and methodology)
• Financial Offer (in local currency or USD, including all applicable taxes)
• Company Profile or CV
• At least two references or examples of similar previous work
• Signed acceptance of payment terms and conditions

1. In case of Company application: The company should submit the following legal documents:

• Commercial Circular
• Fiscal Certificate of Incorporation at the Ministry of Finance
• VAT Certificate of Registration if applicable
• ID of company’s authorized representative(s)

2. In case of Individual application: The individual should submit the following legal documents

• CV
• ID
• Fiscal Number

8. Evaluation Criteria

The quotation’s evaluation process will consider the following with assigned weights:

9. Payment Terms

• Payments will be made through bank cheques
• Payment will be made 20 business days from the last delivery and submission of the final invoice.
• The cheque amount will be subject to applicable bank fees.
