Media Coordinator

The Media Coordinator will be responsible for supervising the full scope of the organization’s media work. This includes managing media requests, guiding the work of the Media Officer and Content Creator, and ensuring consistency and quality across all content produced for websites, social media, and internal communication channels.

The role also involves developing comprehensive media plans and coordinating marketing and visibility campaigns in collaboration with the organization’s programs.

Key Responsibilities

 1. Media Supervision & Coordination

  • Oversee all incoming media requests from departments and programs.
  • Ensure timely and accurate execution of requests by coordinating with the Media Officer and Content Creator.
  • Monitor the workflow of media production, from request intake to final delivery.

2. Strategic Media Planning

  • Develop and implement the organization’s annual and monthly media plans.
  • Coordinate media and visibility campaigns with program teams to ensure alignment with communication goals.
  • Track and report on campaign performance and visibility outcomes.

3. Team Leadership & Guidance

  • Supervise and support the Media Officer in their responsibilities related to videography, photography, editing, and media request coordination.
  • Oversee the Content Creator in managing social media platforms, content calendars, newsletters, and internal communication channels.
  • Facilitate collaboration within the media unit to ensure efficient and high-quality output.

4. Digital Platforms Management

  • Supervise website content, updates, and follow-ups to maintain accuracy and relevancy.
  • Ensure social media platforms follow a unified tone, strategy, and brand identity.
  • Support the development of visibility materials (identity + content) across all digital platforms.

5. Quality Control & Branding

  • Ensure all media content aligns with the organization’s brand guidelines and communication standards.
  • Review, edit, and approve major media materials before publication or distribution.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in media, Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Experience in videography, photography, and editing is a major plus
  • Experience in media coordination, content management, or digital communication.
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with social media management, website content coordination, and digital marketing is a plus.
