Field Monitor

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Conduct community awareness sessions on hygiene, environmental sanitation, cleaning, solid waste management, and vector control in coordination with the Field Officer and under the supervision of the WASH Coordinator.
• Provide targeted populations with technical guidance on the use, maintenance, and management of water, sanitation, and solid waste facilities.
• Collect technical data before, during, and after interventions (including KAP surveys, HCMT, and needs assessments) in informal settlements and private accommodations, reporting to the Field Officer.
• Collect and report community/beneficiary feedback regularly to improve project delivery.
• Follow up on the distribution of hygiene supplies based on needs assessments and request necessary materials from the Field Officer.
• Provide training and support to community WASH volunteers or youth as required.
• Assist with data entry related to hygiene promotion activities.

• Assist in planning and monitoring water trucking and desludging activities, ensuring timely delivery and quality service provision in line with allocated resources.
• Supervise the execution of water trucking, desludging, and other WASH-related field works, reporting to the Field Officer.
• Collect, analyze, and interpret technical data related to water trucking and desludging to prepare weekly reports and logbooks.
• Liaise and coordinate activities with community representatives and beneficiaries across project sites.
• Support distribution quality management, including follow-up on water tank distribution, barcode installation on tanks and latrines, and water quality testing using pool testers.
• Provide regular daily, weekly, and monthly reports as requested by supervisors.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by management to support the project implementation process.

Training and Capacity Building:

General Policies:

1. Attend all planned training and evaluate their effectiveness.
2. Suggest topics for future training based on observed skills or knowledge gaps.
3. Attend all donor-related training as required.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s degree in social work, Public Health, Environmental Science, or related field.
• 1-2 years of experience in hygiene promotion, WASH monitoring, or a related field; prior NGO experience is an asset.

• Fluent spoken and written English.
