Psychologist - Akkar

Mode of Service Delivery: 

Sessions may be conducted at one of FISTA’s centers (Deddeh, Tripoli, or Akkar), at the specialist’s private clinic if available, or at a community center partnered with FISTA, depending on the child’s region and referral plan.

About FISTA
First Step Together Association (FISTA) is a non-governmental organization established in 1993 in North Lebanon. FISTA supports children and youth with disabilities and developmental challenges through education, rehabilitation, and vocational training, while advocating for their rights. The organization enforces a strict zero-tolerance policy toward gifts, misconduct, sexual harassment, exploitation, abuse, and child abuse, and investigates all allegations thoroughly.

Position Overview
FISTA is seeking a qualified Psychologist in the Akkar region to provide psychological support and therapeutic interventions to children and youth with disabilities.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct psychological assessments and identify emotional, behavioral, and developmental needs.

Develop and implement individualized therapy plans.

Provide individual and group therapy sessions.

Maintain accurate documentation, reports, and evaluations.

Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, teachers, and caregivers.

Monitor progress, conduct discharge evaluations, and hold parent meetings.

Deliver trainings and awareness sessions for schools, parents, and communities.

Support capacity-building activities for partner organizations.

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Psychology (Master’s preferred).

Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, preferably with children and persons with disabilities.

Strong skills in assessment and evidence-based interventions.
