Communications Assistant - Graphics Designer

1. Background 

Tatweer Baladna is a Lebanese non-profit organization founded in 2017, committed to empowering youth and adults through quality education, innovation, and soft and tech skills. The organization integrates STEAM learning, digital literacy, green skills, and climate change resilience to prepare individuals for a rapidly evolving world. Its programs focus on hands-on, project-based learning that promotes creativity, problem-solving, and environmental responsibility. Tatweer Baladna’s employability and capacity-building programs target both youth and adults, fostering lifelong learning and continuous upskilling. These programs emphasize job readiness, entrepreneurship, and essential soft skills such as leadership, communication, and emotional intelligence, while also developing competencies in digital tools, financial literacy, and sustainability practices. 

Through its holistic approach, Tatweer Baladna equips individuals with the knowledge, mindset, and practical abilities to thrive in the digital and green economy by creating pathways toward meaningful employment and resilient, future-ready communities across Lebanon. 

2. Project Overview 

DigitalLife4All – An Adult & Lifelong Learning Initiative to Enhance the Digital Skills & Smart Competencies of Seniors, Older Adults, People with Disabilities & Persons in Vulnerable Social Groups in the Mediterranean Sea Basin 

Programme: Interreg NEXT MED, co-funded by the European Union 

Project Duration: 30 months (August 2025 – January 2028)

DigitalLife4All aims to promote inclusive digital transformation across the Mediterranean. It provides digital and lifelong learning skills through community-based Digital Skills Hubs and DigiOnTheGo units. The project empowers participants to confidently access and use digital tools, enhancing employability, social participation, and resilience in the digital era.

5. Objectives of the Assignment

The overall objective of this assignment is to support the communication, visibility, and outreach activities of the DigitalLife4All project by producing high-quality visual content, ensuring consistent branding, and enhancing engagement across digital platforms. The Communication Assistant – Graphics & Media will contribute to strengthening the project’s public image, increasing audience reach, and ensuring that all communication outputs align with Interreg NEXT MED visibility rules.

6. Specific objectives include: 

6.1. Develop visually engaging graphics, layouts, and visual assets that reflect the project’s identity and communication guidelines.

6.2. Produce and edit videos, short clips, and reels to effectively showcase project activities, events, and achievements.

6.3. Create clear, accessible, and engaging content for social media, newsletters, reports, and project communication channels.

6.4. Support the implementation of the project’s communication plan and ensure compliance with Interreg NEXT MED visibility requirements.

6.5. Contribute to documenting project milestones through photos, videos, and multimedia storytelling.

7. Scope of Services and Main Tasks:

The Communication Assistant – Graphics & Media will provide creative, technical, and operational support to all communication-related activities throughout the project’s implementation.

8. Profile and Qualifications 

8.1Education: 

Bachelor's degree in Arts, Communication, Graphic Design, or any other related field, or equivalent experience. 

 

8.2 Experience: 

  • At least 3 years of professional experience in media and communications content, graphic design, video editing, or visual communication 
  • Demonstrated experience with International or EU-funded projects or organizations is a plus.  
  • Familiarity with EU Branding guidelines is a plus. 

8.3 Portfolio Requirements:  

Applicants must submit at least three relevant samples (reports, toolkits, social media visuals, or event materials) demonstrating experience in educational, skills development and capacity building, social, or development projects. 

8.4 Skills: 

  • Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop...), or other design tools, such as Canva, CapCut, etc... 
  • Experience with accessibility-aware design is a strong asset 
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills. 
  • Proven ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines. 

8.5 Language 

  • Arabic Fluent in speaking, reading, and writing 
  • English Fluent in speaking, reading, and writing 
  • French Optional 

8.6 Other requirements: 

Tax number and MOF certificate is a plus. 

9. Contract Terms 

Duration: One-year contract, with the possibility of renewal subject to performance and funding availability.

Contract Type: This is a consultancy contract, not an employment contract. No employment benefits (such as social security, paid leave, or insurance) are included. The consultant will be responsible for their own taxes, social security, and insurance coverage. 

Payment Arrangements: the Consultant will be remunerated on the basis of an agreed Hourly rate. Payment will be made upon submission of a monthly invoice, supported by a timesheet specifying the number of working days effectively delivered and accepted by Tatweer Baladna. 

Reporting Line: The Consultant will report directly to the Communications Specialist.

Work Modality: The assignment will be based in Choueifat. On-site attendance is required on a weekly  basis, especially during key milestones, including the Transnational Meeting, events, and major procurement phases.
