Grants Officer

This role is ideal for someone with experience working with institutional donors, strong organisational and communication skills, and a high attention to detail. The Grants Officer will play a key role in supporting CodeBrave’s sustainability and growth by strengthening donor relationships, maintaining an organised grants pipeline, and ensuring timely and high-quality submissions and reports.

 

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in International Development, Education, Public Policy, Business Administration, or a related field. A master's degree is an asset.
  • Minimum 1-2 years of relevant experience in grants management, fundraising, or proposal development within an NGO or international organisation.
  • Demonstrated experience working with institutional donors (e.g. UN agencies, embassies, foundations).
  • Experience in the education, youth, or digital/STEM sectors is an asset.
  • Prior experience in Lebanon or similar contexts is strongly preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work across teams and manage multiple deadlines simultaneously.
  • High attention to detail and strong compliance mindset.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace (especially Docs, Sheets, and Drive).

Areas Of Responsibility:

Grant Development & Fundraising:

  • Research and circulate relevant funding opportunities aligned with CodeBrave’s strategy.
  • Support the drafting and submission of grant proposals, concept notes, and expressions of interest.
  • Maintain a grants pipeline and calendar, tracking deadlines and donor requirements.
  • Coordinate internal inputs from programmes, finance, and leadership for proposals.

Grant Management & Reporting:

  • Support the preparation and submission of narrative and financial donor reports in coordination with the finance and programmes teams.
  • Track grant milestones, reporting deadlines, and contractual obligations.
  • Support compliance with donor visibility, branding, and communication requirements.
  • Maintain organised grant files (contracts, amendments, reports, correspondence).

Donor Coordination & Internal Support:

  • Support communication with donors as needed (clarifications, follow-ups, documentation).
  • Assist with donor audits, evaluations, and information requests.
  • Contribute to the development of standard templates, tools, and processes for grants management.
  • Support organisational learning by documenting donor feedback and proposal outcomes.
