Communication Specialist

The italian NGO COMI ETS intends to award a contract for “Communication Specialist” in Lebanon with financial assistance from the European Union, in the framework of the project “Youth GenerAction” NDICI STABILITY/2024/462-426.

The Communication Specialist will be responsible for the design, coordination and implementation of all the components related to communication, visibility and dissemination under Outcome 3, together with the teachers and students involved in the Action, and will ensure that the artistic and cultural activities implemented are translated into coherent, inclusive and impactful messages on peacebuilding, social justice and gender equality. The assignment will be carried out with particular attention to youth participation, conflict-sensitive communication and gender-responsive approaches, and in line with EU visibility guidelines, and the overall project communication strategy.

The Communication Specialist will work in close coordination with the Project Manager, experts on community theatre, photography, video-making, school focal points and the institutional counterpart (DGVTE), to ensure consistency between project activities, educational content and external communication. The assignment will be implemented in coordination with Consortium’s Communication Manager and Graphic Designer.

The overall objective of the assignment is to enhance the outreach, visibility and social impact of Outcome 3 by supporting young beneficiaries (15–19 years old) in producing, curating and disseminating cultural and multimedia content that promotes dialogue, peacebuilding, conflict prevention and gender equality, while strengthening community awareness and engagement at local and national levels.

The Communication Specialist will carry out the assignment for the full duration of Outcome 3 implementation, ensuring continuity, quality and coherence of communication actions across all activities.

Geographical area to be covered

Akkar, Baalbek-Hermel, Beqaa, Mount Lebanon, North Lebanon, South Lebanon.

Target groups

1. Students of the 12 beneficiary schools involved in the following activities:

• Students Councils
• Community theatre
• Social Media Teams

2. Youth from all over Lebanon participating in the photo and video contest.

The implementation of the required duties will be performed remotely, with possible field visits across the 12 beneficiary schools in coordination with project staff.

The intended start date is 01 February 2026 and contract will be 12 (twelve) months from this date.
