WARD – The Working Assembly for Rights and Dialogue
WARD – The Working Assembly for Rights and Dialogue is a national alliance bringing together civil society organizations and activists across Lebanon. It serves as a participatory platform that strengthens collaboration, dialogue, and collective action to advance human rights, environmental protection, humanitarian relief, and broader civil society priorities.
Our Mission
WARD seeks to empower local actors and civil society organizations by providing an inclusive platform for dialogue, coordination, advocacy, and capacity building, supporting community-driven initiatives in human rights, environmental protection, and humanitarian response.
Our Vision
A united and resilient civil society working collectively to promote human rights, a healthy environment, and effective humanitarian relief in Lebanon.
WARD Objectives
- National Dialogue and Coordination: Connecting civil society actors and initiatives to enhance collaboration, alignment, and collective impact.
- Evidence-Based Advocacy: Supporting legal protection, transparent funding, community participation, and accountability through informed advocacy.
- Awareness and Capacity Building: Strengthening NGOs and local actors through public awareness campaigns, trainings, and technical assistance.
- Focus Areas: Human rights, environmental protection, Education, Agriculture, economy, Law, and humanitarian relief.
Who Can Join WARD
Membership is open to Executive Directors, Directors, or Founders of civil society organizations that meet the following criteria:
1. The organization is officially registered in Lebanon and has been operational for at least two years.
2. The organization is actively working in one or more of the following areas (including but not limited to):
- Peacebuilding and conflict transformation
- Human rights and social justice
- Women’s empowerment
- Youth engagement and education
- Arts, culture, and creative expression
- Environmental sustainability and climate justice
- Humanitarian relief and community development
- Health, psychosocial support, and well-being
- Education
- Agriculture and food security
- Economic development and livelihoods
- Legal awareness and access to justice
3. Demonstrated commitment to active participation in WARD’s assemblies, working groups, and collective initiatives.

Please note: Submission of the registration form does not guarantee membership. Applications will be reviewed, and selected organizations will be contacted following the evaluation process.
