Job Summary
1- Background

2- Purpose of the Position
The Driver will be responsible for providing safe, reliable, and timely transportation services for SHiFT staff, consultants, and project-related activities. The role supports program implementation by ensuring smooth mobility of personnel, materials, and documents while adhering to organizational policies and safety standards.
Main Tasks and Responsibilities
The Driver selected for this assignment will undertake the following tasks:
Transportation Services: Provide safe and timely transportation for SHiFT staff, visitors, consultants, and partners to project sites, meetings, workshops, and official missions.
Vehicle Operation and Safety: Operate assigned vehicle(s) in accordance with traffic laws, safety regulations, and SHiFT’s internal policies, ensuring passenger safety at all times.
Vehicle Maintenance: Ensure daily inspection of the vehicle, including fuel level, oil, tires, brakes, and cleanliness. Report any mechanical issues immediately and ensure regular servicing and maintenance.
Logistics Support: Assist in transporting project materials, supplies, and documents as required, ensuring proper handling and accountability.
Documentation: Maintain accurate vehicle logbooks, fuel consumption records, maintenance reports, and trip documentation as per SHiFT procedures.
Compliance: Adhere to SHiFT’s code of conduct, confidentiality policies, and security guidelines, especially while operating in post-conflict or sensitive areas.
Qualifications
The candidate should have:
- Valid driving license
- Proven experience as a professional driver, preferably with NGOs or international organizations
- Strong knowledge of local roads and routes
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Flexibility in working hours, including weekends if required
- Experience working in post-conflict or marginalized areas is an asset
Timing
This position will begin upon the signature of the contract between SHiFT and the selected candidate.

The Driver shall maintain strict confidentiality regarding all SHiFT-related information, documents, and activities encountered during the course of employment and may not disclose such information without prior authorization from SHiFT.
Payment
Payment will be made on a monthly basis according to the signed contract and agreed terms.
Duration
One Year from 16 Jan 2026 to 16 Jan 2027.

1- Methodology
The Driver will work under the supervision of the Logistics and Procurement Manager and will coordinate closely with program and administrative teams to ensure efficient and timely transportation support for all project activities.
