Women Now for Development (علم وخبر:2508) requests your price quotation for Transportation Services (Bus & Taxi) from January 2026 till December 2026 for its projects in Lebanon, Bekaa Area.
Background
Women Now defines itself as a feminist, women-led NGO dedicated to deepening and strengthening women’s role by enhancing their political, social, and economic participation. We implement programmes in two Women and Girls Safe Spaces (WGSS) in Bekaa, Lebanon, reaching thousands of women and girls annually.
To ensure safe and equitable access to these programs—particularly for adolescent girls who require secure and reliable mobility—WND seeks to contract a qualified transportation service provider. Reliable transport is essential for enabling girls to participate regularly in community center activities, maintaining their protection and dignity throughout travel, and supporting WND staff movement. The transportation services will directly contribute to safeguarding standards, community trust, and the overall effectiveness of WND’s intervention.
Objectives
- Ensure safe, reliable, and punctual transportation for adolescent girls and WND staff.
- Promote regular attendance and participation in community center programs.
- Guarantee child protection, confidentiality, and dignity during transportation.
- Maintain vehicles in excellent operational and safety condition.
Scope of Work
The service provider will:
- Provide transportation (e.g., minibus, van, or bus) for adolescent girls between their homes and the community center according to a pre-agreed schedule.
- Ensure safety protocols are strictly followed, including seatbelts, pick-up from their homes and same for drop-off, and adherence to traffic laws.
- Coordinate with Women Now focal points to determine daily/ weekly or monthly routes, schedules, and participant lists.
- Provide trained drivers: drivers to be sensitised to WND work and to be trained on the safeguarding and other WND policies.
- Maintain clean and well-functioning vehicles with valid registration, insurance, and safety inspection.
- Keep daily records of attendance, pick-up/drop-off times, and incidents (if any).
- Report any technical, behavioral, or security incidents immediately to Women Now’s logistics and safeguarding focal points.
- Provide transportation for WND staff to attend any meetings/trainings within Lebanon. (round trip), vehicles type (bus, taxi, min-van, 7 seated vehicle) will be according to the number of passengers and WND need.
Deliverables
- Safe transport of adolescent girls and WND staff according to the agreed routes and schedules.
- Incident and safety reports as required and once needed and relevant.
- Proof of compliance with insurance, driver licenses.
Duration
- The agreement will cover year of 2026.
Location
The girls to be picked from different location around central Bekaa to WND center in Chtoura (round trip)
Required Qualifications
- Transportation license.
- Proven experience in providing safe and reliable transport, preferably for NGOs or schools.
- Drivers with valid licenses and clean driving record (applicants will be subject to background check).
- Vehicles meeting safety and comfort standards.
- Commitment to child safeguarding, gender sensitivity, and confidentiality.
The service provider must uphold WND’s safeguarding standards by ensuring safe, respectful, and confidential conduct at all times, and by promptly reporting any safeguarding concerns in line with established procedures.
The selected Service Provider must be able to maintain the quoted prices throughout the entire specified period.
Trips will be requested based on project needs. Each vendor will be evaluated based on the quality of services provided and the competitiveness of their prices, in line with the specifications outlined in the attached Request for Quotation (RFQ) and Terms of Reference (TOR).
