Consultant – Infographic Design for Research Dissemination

Project Title: Intergenerational Perspectives for a New Social Contract in Lebanon

Duty Station: Remote – Beirut Office

Duration of Assignment: February 2026

Application Deadline: January 26, 2026

1. Background

The Berghof Foundation is implementing a research project on Intergenerational Perspectives for a New Social Contract in Lebanon, which seeks to understand how different generations and social groups perceive, experience, and envision the relationship between citizens, the state, and one another.

The research follows a citizen-centred, participatory, and mixed-methods approach, grounded in the Protection, Provision, and Participation (3Ps) framework. It explores how legitimacy gaps, grievances, aspirations, fears, and reform priorities are articulated across age groups, genders, geographic locations, and social constituencies, with particular attention to intergenerational dynamics and their influence on views of governance, justice, and social cohesion.

Methodologically, the study combines a nationally representative quantitative survey with qualitative insights from key informant interviews (KIIs) and focus group discussions (FGDs). By foregrounding lived experiences and citizen perspectives, the research links empirical evidence to broader debates on legitimacy, accountability, and pathways for rebuilding trust in Lebanon’s fragile and conflict-affected context.

To support effective dissemination and engagement, Berghof Foundation seeks to engage a consultant to translate key research insights into clear, accessible, and analytically sound infographic visuals. These visuals will support dialogue and policy engagement by making findings understandable to diverse audiences, while preserving nuance, context sensitivity, and the integrity of the analytical framework.
