- Community Mobilization, Outreach & Engagement
- Actively engage with refugees and vulnerable host community members to build trust, raise awareness of MF services, and encourage participation in CDC activities.
- Conduct regular community outreach activities, including door-to-door visits, informal discussions, and presence in community spaces to understand needs, interests, and barriers to accessing services.
- Promote MF Community Development Center as a safe, inclusive, and dynamic space for learning, psychosocial support, social interaction, and empowerment.
- Work with community members to identify priority topics, preferred activities, and suitable timings to ensure activities are relevant and well-attended.
- Mobilize and support community volunteers, peer educators, and community focal points to act as ambassadors for the CDC and encourage peers to engage with MF services.
- Organize and facilitate community forums, discussion groups, and feedback sessions to strengthen community ownership and participation in CDC programming.
- Collaborate with outreach teams and facilitators to design simple awareness and outreach initiatives to increase visibility and attendance.
- Monitor participation trends and community feedback, and adapt outreach strategies to ensure the CDC remains active, responsive, and attractive to diverse population groups.
- Community-Based Protection Activities & Service Delivery
- Implement community-based protection and psychosocial activities in line with MF workplans, CBP strategies, and UNHCR guidelines.
- Support and facilitate group-based activities such as awareness sessions, life skills activities, recreational events, and community-based initiatives.
- Ensure activities are conducted in a safe, respectful, and culturally appropriate manner.
- Promote positive coping strategies, community cohesion, and protective behaviors through structured and informal engagement.
- Support the creation and maintenance of safe spaces within the CDC for children, adolescents, women, caregivers, and persons with specific needs.
- Identification of Protection Concerns & Referrals
- Identify emerging protection risks, vulnerabilities, and concerns through ongoing community engagement and participation in activities.
- Provide accurate information to community members on available MF services and referral options.
- Refer individuals with identified protection needs to screening, case management, or other relevant services in accordance with approved SOPs.
- Immediately flag urgent protection or safeguarding concerns to the CBP Senior Lead Social Worker.
- Coordination & Center Support
- Coordinate closely with facilitators, outreach staff, reception team, and protection colleagues to ensure smooth implementation of CDC activities.
- Support beneficiary mobilization, attendance follow-up, and session organization.
- Contribute to maintaining a welcoming, organized, and safe environment within the CDC.
- Participate in team meetings, planning sessions, and coordination discussions as required.
- Documentation, Data Entry & Reporting
- Accurately record attendance, activity implementation, and outreach data using MF internal systems and Kobo, as applicable.
- Ensure timely submission of activity reports and attendance lists.
- Support tracking of beneficiary participation and engagement over time.
- Ensure informed consent is obtained and that all information is handled in compliance with MF and donors’ data protection, confidentiality, and safeguarding standards.
- Safeguarding, Accountability & Ethics
- Apply child-sensitive, survivor-centered, and do-no-harm principles in all interactions.
- Adhere strictly to MF safeguarding policies, PSEA standards, and accountability commitments.
- Support awareness-raising on rights, available services, and safe feedback mechanisms.
