Volunteer program Coordinator

Key Responsibilities

Volunteer Recruitment & Onboarding

  • Develop and implement volunteer recruitment plans based on program needs.
  • Coordinate volunteer outreach, screening, and selection in line with CVC Charity policies.
  • Support onboarding processes, including induction, orientation, and policy briefings.
  • Ensure volunteers sign required documentation, including Code of Conduct and Safeguarding Declarations.

Volunteer Coordination & Support

  • Assign volunteers to activities according to skills, availability, and program needs.
  • Serve as the focal point for volunteer communication and coordination.
  • Maintain up-to-date volunteer records, attendance sheets, and engagement logs.
  • Provide ongoing guidance and support to volunteers during assignments.

Training & Capacity Building

  • Coordinate basic training for volunteers on organizational values, safeguarding, PSEA, and protection principles.
  • Identify training needs and support learning opportunities for volunteers.

Safeguarding & Compliance

  • Ensure all volunteer activities comply with Safeguarding, Child Protection, PSEA, and Anti-Trafficking policies.
  • Support the reporting and follow-up of safeguarding concerns through established mechanisms.
  • Promote a safe, respectful, and inclusive working environment for volunteers and communities.

Performance Monitoring & Recognition

  • Monitor volunteer performance and participation.
  • Support feedback mechanisms to capture volunteer and community input.
  • Contribute to volunteer recognition and retention initiatives.

Reporting & Documentation

  • Prepare periodic reports on volunteer engagement, numbers, and activities.
  • Support audits, assessments, and donor reporting related to volunteer management.

Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Human Resources, Community Development, or a related field.
• At least 2–3 years of experience in volunteer coordination or community-based programs (NGO experience preferred).

• Strong coordination and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work with diverse groups and communities.
• Good record-keeping and reporting skills.
• Familiarity with safeguarding and humanitarian principles.
