Immunization Logistics support Officer

The Immunization Logistics support officer will be responsible for the following

1. Assisting in the preparation of orders for Vaccines and non-chronic medicines for primary health care centers.

2. Assisting in the preparation of vaccination requests for the vaccination distribution centers.

3. Assisting in the preparation of SRH drugs and commodities for 82 dispensaries.

4. Assistance in archiving the administrative files for vaccines and essential medicines and vaccines.

5. Assisting in delivering vaccines and medication orders to health centers and ensure that all required reports are available.

6. Assisting in making phone calls to arrange appointments for health centers to receive vaccines and medication.

7. Assisting in preparing the semi- annual inventory for the essential acute medications and monthly inventory for vaccines.

8. Monitor storage of vaccines, acute and chronic medications according to protocols (First Expired First Out, Look alike sound alike, etc….)

9.Support in generating the monthly report for the incentive approach from the ministry of public health (PHC department) and submit it to UNICEF on time.

Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Health Management, or any related administrative or health field with at least 2-3 years of proven professional experience.
Experience and Skills:
• Experience in managing vaccine distribution, providing technical assistance and leadership through monitoring implementation processes, generating reports, and communicating with various stakeholders.
• Experience working with the Ministry of Public Health.
• Experience with reviewing, assessing, and processing large amounts of information/data
• Ability to work in a team and in a diverse work environment.
• Knowledge of United Nations – particularly UNICEF – processes and work streams is an asset.
