Background
Amel Association International, in partnership with Ideas Box and with the support of Bibliothèques Sans Frontières (BSF), is organizing a Robotics Training of Trainers (ToT) aimed at strengthening the capacity of educators and facilitators to deliver robotics and STEM-based learning activities within community and non-formal education settings.
Objectives
The training aims to:
- Build participants’ knowledge in basic robotics and introductory coding
- Strengthen facilitation and training skills for delivering robotics sessions
- Promote inclusive, safe, and child-centered digital learning practices
- Prepare participants to replicate robotics activities within Amel programs and partner centers
Training Content
The Training will cover the following topics
- Introduction to educational robotics and STEM learning
- Hands-on practice using robotics kits
- Basic programming and logical thinking concepts
- Designing age-appropriate robotics activities
- Classroom and group management during practical sessions
- Child protection and safeguarding considerations
- Training methodology (Training of Trainers approach)
- Monitoring and reporting on learning activities
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants should meet the following criteria:
- Educators, facilitators, trainers, or animators working in education or community-based programs
- Basic digital literacy skills
- Interest in STEM, innovation, and non-formal education
- Ability and commitment to replicate the training after completion
- Previous experience in education, digital learning, or NGO programs is considered an asset.
- Availability to attend the full duration of the training
Selected participants will:
- Complete the full Robotics Training of Trainers program
- Receive training materials and technical guidance
- Be eligible for certification upon successful completion
- Join a pool of trained facilitators supporting robotics activities within Amel initiatives
