Key Responsibilities
1. Business Development & Resource Mobilization
Identify, track, and analyze funding opportunities from international donors, IFIs, DFIs, foundations, and private sector partners aligned with BIAT’s mandate.
Support and coordinate the development of concept notes, proposals, and expressions of interest, in collaboration with technical and program teams.
Support budget development in coordination with finance and project teams to ensure donor compliance and cost-effectiveness.
Maintain an up-to-date pipeline of funding opportunities and partnerships.
2. Strategic Support to the Chairman
Work closely with the Chairman to translate BIAT’s strategic vision into concrete programs, initiatives, and partnerships.
Support strategic planning processes, including preparation of strategic briefs, presentations, and positioning documents.
Conduct background research, sector analysis, and donor mapping to inform decision-making at leadership level.
Follow up on strategic actions, partnerships, and high-level engagements led by the Chairman.
3. Partnership & Stakeholder Engagement
Develop and manage relationships with donors, implementing partners, government entities, municipalities, private sector actors, and networks.
Represent BIAT in meetings, coordination platforms, and events when delegated.
Support the negotiation and development of MoUs, partnership agreements, and collaboration frameworks.
Strengthen BIAT’s visibility and positioning as a trusted implementing and strategic partner.
4. Program & Portfolio Development
Contribute to the design of innovative, scalable programs in entrepreneurship, MSME development, employment, Ai, social inclusion, and emergency response.
Ensure program concepts integrate cross-cutting priorities, including gender equality, youth inclusion, disability inclusion, and conflict sensitivity.
Work with program teams to ensure alignment between strategic objectives, donor requirements, and operational capacity.
5. Internal Coordination & Knowledge Management
Coordinate closely with program, finance, and operations teams to ensure coherence between strategy, proposals, and implementation.
Support documentation of lessons learned, best practices, and organizational knowledge to inform future programming.
Contribute to improving internal systems related to proposal development, partner engagement, and strategic planning.
Required Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Development Studies, International Relations, or a related field (Master’s degree is a major plus).
Minimum 5–7 years of experience in business development, proposal writing, partnerships, or strategic roles within NGOs, incubators, or development organizations.
Proven experience working with international donors (e.g. UN agencies, EU, USAID, AFD, KfW, foundations).
Strong understanding of socio-economic development, entrepreneurship support, MSMEs, and employment programs
Demonstrated ability to work at both strategic and operational levels.
