Major Responsibilities:
- Ensures that all expenses are correctly recorded in the accounts (general and cost accounting): names, accounting codes, cost accounting codes, lettering, exchange rates, etc.
- Ensures that the accounting journals and cash flow journals of the projects in the project portfolio match each other.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records using FEMALE’s financial software.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Assist in monitor and reconcile bank accounts, petty cash, and ledgers.
- Assist Ensure compliance with internal financial procedures and donor requirements.
- Support the audit process by preparing required documents and responding to queries.
- Review invoices, expense claims, and vendor payments and receipts.
- Support in banking relationships.
- The position holder may be required to undertake other duties that are broadly in line with the above key duties.
Qualifications:
- knowledge of gender and familiarity with the human rights and feminist work approaches;
- Excellent knowledge of Arabic and English is mandatory;
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in accounting or finance, ideally in a similar role within an international or non-profit organization.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, budgeting, and reporting.
