2 Special Educator (Palestinian Camps - UNRWA Schools)

  • Conduct literacy standardized and non-standardized assessments to identified students presenting low performance in Arabic and/or English.
  • Analyze assessment results and contribute to the design of individualized and group-based learning plans including attainable learning objectives in line with UNRWA curriculum.
  • Support the identification and formation of small learning groups based on students’ abilities and gaps.
  • Deliver structured literacy sessions in Arabic and English using inclusive and play-based approaches.
  • Apply differentiated instruction strategies to respond to diverse learning profiles, including children with learning difficulties or attention challenges.
  • Modify lessons to meet individual student needs and background knowledge using Multisensory Learning to reinforce concepts in coordination with class teacher and Supervisor.
  • Observe children during classroom sessions to identify additional learning needs, barriers to participation, or required accommodations.
  • Participate in regular coordination meetings with teachers, UNRWA staff and TDH IT staff to review progress and adapt strategies.
  • Provide mentoring, methodological support and guidance to increase the capacity of teachers to support inclusive practices and differentiated instruction.
  • Monitor the progress of the Learners and discusses with teachers and parents; collects data and maintains records of progress and development in coordination with all relevant staff.
  • Makes a recommendation on the pathway for the child after completion the implementation of the “foundational Literacy” program.
  • Contribute to the identification of children in need of specialized services, in coordination with the school and TDH’s technical team.
  • Participate in all relevant meetings and trainings proposed by technical Team.
  • Provides support and guidance to the caregivers to increase their engagement in their child’s education.
  • Provide a report at the end of the Program Implementation including:

- Main achievements for Children improvements

- Recommendation

- Areas of development for the program in terms of inclusive education.
