Head of Complementary and Secondary Cycles

Main Mission

The Head of Complementary and Secondary Cycles ensures the pedagogical coordination and academic oversight of these levels. They support teachers in improving their practices, ensure the alignment of programs with official requirements, and contribute to the analysis of results in order to guarantee the quality of education and students’ academic success.

 

Main Responsibilities:

• Instructional Support: Regular classroom observations and constructive, precise, and supportive feedback to teachers in order to improve their teaching methods, optimize classroom practices, and promote student success in complementary and secondary cycles.

• Curriculum Alignment: Ensure that annual plans, progressions, and taught content comply with the common core, current frameworks, and Ministry requirements, while maintaining pedagogical coherence across grade levels and subjects.

• Professional Development: Identify the training needs of the teaching team, taking into account institutional priorities and educational developments, and lead internal pedagogical workshops (e.g., use of digital tools, differentiated instruction, assessment strategies) to strengthen teachers’ professional competencies.

• Results Analysis: Conduct in-depth analysis of grades, assessments, and performance indicators to identify overall or recurring gaps, analyze possible causes, and propose appropriate remedial actions to improve learning outcomes and student achievement.

 

Required Profile:

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Pedagogy, or a related field.
• Proven experience in secondary education.
• Experience in pedagogical coordination or educational management (preferred).
• Strong knowledge of school curricula.
• Leadership, organizational, and communication skills.

 

Personal Qualities:

• Strong sense of responsibility and professional ethics.
• Ability to work collaboratively.
• Initiative and decision-making skills.
• Rigor, availability, and strong listening skills.

 

Fluency in French is essential, as French is the school’s second language of instruction.
