As part of the employment linkage component, SBT will engage 3 Outreach Community Volunteers to support the identification, mapping, and engagement of workshops, maintenance companies, appliance stores, and service providers capable of hosting trainees for internships and/or employment.
2. Purpose of the Assignment
The Outreach Community Volunteers will support SBT in:
- Identifying potential internship hosts and employers
- Conducting outreach meetings
- Mapping market demand in white goods repair
- Facilitating linkage between trainees and businesses
- Supporting follow-up during internship placement period
The assignment is results-based and compensated on a per diem basis against verified deliverables.

4. Key Responsibilities
A. Stakeholder Mapping & Identification
- Conduct field mapping of:
- White goods repair workshops
- Appliance maintenance centers
- Electrical repair shops
- Appliance retail stores offering maintenance services
- Authorized service agents
- Develop a database of potential internship/job placement hosts
- Identify businesses willing to sign internship agreements
B. Outreach & Engagement
- Conduct structured meetings with business owners
- Present project objectives and internship modality
- Explain benefits of hosting interns
- Collect business profiles and assess capacity to host trainees
C. Internship & Job Placement Support
- Secure written confirmation of internship placements
- Facilitate matching between trainees and businesses
- Follow up on intern attendance and performance
- Identify immediate job opportunities where available
D. Reporting & Documentation
- Submit weekly outreach reports
- Update stakeholder mapping sheet
- Provide signed internship interest forms
- Document success stories where applicable
5. Expected Deliverables (Per Volunteer)
The following outputs are expected per volunteer:
- Mapping of minimum 20 businesses in target area
- Conduct formal outreach meetings
- Secure confirmed internship placements
- Identify potential job openings
- Submit weekly tracking sheet and final summary report
6. Pre-Assignment Information Session
Before starting the assignment, SBT will organize a mandatory Information & Orientation Session covering:
- Project objectives and employment component
- Outreach methodology
- Ethical conduct & safeguarding standards
- Reporting templates and documentation requirements
- Communication protocols with private sector stakeholders
Volunteers will receive:
- Outreach toolkit
- Standard introduction letter
- Business mapping template
- Internship agreement template
Participation in the session is mandatory prior to field engagement.

Assignment period: 2 months (8 weeks)
The per diem engagement will be based on:
- Approved workplan
- Verified outreach activities
- Submission of required deliverables
Per diem payments are conditional upon submission and validation of agreed deliverables. SBT reserves the right to reduce or discontinue engagement if performance targets are not met.
