Key Responsibilities:
- Reception and Support: Welcome beneficiaries with kindness and empathy, listen attentively, and provide moral and emotional support.
- Needs Assessment: Assess the individual needs of each beneficiary to determine the appropriate services, in collaboration with the team.
- Planning and Follow-up: Develop and implement personalized intervention plans to address the specific needs of beneficiaries.
- Home Visits: Conduct home visits to assess beneficiaries’ living conditions, better understand family dynamics, and provide appropriate follow-up and support.
- Service Coordination: Coordinate various social, family, and legal services to ensure comprehensive social care.
- Understanding of local laws and social support programs: Knowledge of relevant regulations and available social services to help beneficiaries access the support they need effectively and legally.
- Awareness and Prevention: Educate beneficiaries about potential risks and dangers, as well as ways to protect themselves.
- Collaboration with Families: Work closely with beneficiaries’ families to promote their social and family reintegration. Organize awareness meetings for parents to strengthen their parenting skills in supporting their children.
- Documentation and Monitoring: Document interactions with beneficiaries and their families, as well as the progress made.
- Outreach and Empowerment: Organize training and outreach sessions for beneficiaries in nearby schools to raise awareness and promote empowerment.
- Supervision: Supervise the internship of university-level social work assistants in collaboration with the coordinator.
- Team Collaboration: Collaborate closely with the multidisciplinary team and the coordinator to ensure coordinated and effective support for beneficiaries.
- Participation in Training and Meetings: Attend continuous training to stay informed about the latest practices and trends in child protection.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Social Work.
- Strong understanding of social services, community resources, and social welfare policies.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive situations with empathy and professionalism.
- Knowledge and experience in managing child protection case files and protection-related procedures.
Desired Skills:
- Cultural competence and sensitivity to diverse populations.
- Experience in community outreach, counseling, or case management (preferred).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
French is a must.
