Application guidelines:
Due to the emergency context and the need for immediate recruitment to meet operational needs of the emergency response, applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis. Interviews may take place before the application deadline, and the position may be filled as soon as suitable candidates are identified.

Overview:
We are looking for a dedicated and locally based professional with a background in Social Sciences and emergency response to lead recreational and psychosocial activities, facilitate vital information sessions, and manage the identification and referral of vulnerable individuals within emergency shelters.
Core Responsibilities
• Design and lead age-appropriate recreational and psychosocial support (PSS) sessions for children and families.
• Organize and facilitate group information/awareness sessions on the available services, child protection topics and other needed topics.
• Identify and refer vulnerable people with specific needs to the appropriate services.
• Maintain and update tracking sheets (bio-data, service logs) and report on the physical accessibility of the shelter.
• Act as the primary link between families, shelter management, and specialized service providers (therapists, medical teams)..
Technical & Reporting Duties
• Maintain Attendance Sheets for all PSS, recreational, Education and information sessions to monitor reach and follow up on missed appointments.
• Complete Observation Sheets to document child engagement, identify safety or accessibility hazards in the shelter, and track "warm handovers" to specialists.
• Use Kobo Surveys for formal tracking and reporting
• Submitting immediate protection/vulnerability referrals, and identifying specific barriers to aid.
Required Qualifications:
• Education: University degree in Social Sciences or equivalent.
• Experience: previous experience in emergency
• Location: Must reside in close proximity to the assigned centre.
• Availability: Minimum of 4 days per week
• Capacity Building: Must participate in all emergency response trainings
