GBV Case Worker- Ras Baalbeck

Main Tasks:

  • Manage cases throughout the 7-month project period, ensuring timely, effective, and high-quality service delivery.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments, develop individualized case management plans, and ensure consistent follow-up and implementation in line with approved Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Ensure all ongoing cases are continuously evaluated, followed up, and properly closed through closure interviews and documentation.
  • Identify and assess beneficiaries’ needs for educational kits, hygiene kits, and MHM kits, and coordinate with the center team to ensure proper and well-documented distribution.
  • Coordinate effectively with internal departments and external service providers to facilitate referrals and ensure beneficiaries’ access to specialized services, including legal, psychosocial, medical, or educational support.
  • Ensure that all external and internal referrals are accurately documented and tracked, with updated records maintained in accordance with confidentiality and ethical standards.
  • Plan daily, weekly, and monthly case management interventions efficiently, ensuring all activities are well-documented and aligned with intervention strategies.
  • Conduct home, school, and/or institutional visits as needed, ensuring objectives are achieved and all required forms and reports are properly completed.
  • Implement socio-medical interventions—individual and group-based—as per the established intervention strategy and designated premises.
  • Evaluate and address the needs of beneficiaries in terms of education, technical training, and psychosocial development, while supporting relational and social reintegration.
  • Provide appropriate parental guidance, family mediation, and legal referrals as needed, ensuring beneficiaries receive holistic and coordinated support.
  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date digital records of all cases using approved case management systems, ensuring data quality and confidentiality.
  • Report regularly to the Senior Educator and Head of Center, providing updates on case progress, challenges, and recommendations for improvement.
  • Ensure proper reporting and data sharing with the MEAL department, including timely submission of case tracking sheets, beneficiary lists, and feedback forms.
  • Participate actively in case review meetings, weekly case monitoring sessions with the Senior Educator, and monthly meetings with the Protection Manager.
  • Contribute to protection risk identification and participate in developing mitigation strategies within the center’s protection framework.
  • Attend all peer-to-peer learning sessions, trainings, and relevant coordination meetings, ensuring accurate minutes of meetings (MoM) are prepared and shared.
  • Coordinate closely with multidisciplinary team members to provide comprehensive and quality case management services aligned with internal procedures and national SOPs.

Experience:

  • At least 2-3 years of experience in Case Management
  • Prior experience of working on GBV project.
  • Good knowledge of CP and GBV principles as well as PSS principles and safe identification.
  • Good organizational and documentation management skills.
  • Knowledge of the functions of community organizations and related human services in the area.

Competences:

  • Strong knowledge of gender based violence principles, survivor centered case management, and GBV referral pathways
  • Ability to conduct safe and confidential assessments to identify protection, psychosocial, health, and legal needs of GBV survivors
  • Skilled in developing, implementing, and monitoring survivor centered case management plans
  • Experience in facilitating awareness sessions on GBV prevention and engaging women, girls, and community members
  • Strong organizational skills to maintain accurate and confidential documentation and manage GBV caseloads
  • Effective communication and active listening skills with survivors in a safe and respectful manner
  • Teamwork and coordination abilities to work closely with health providers, protection actors, outreach workers, and partners
  • Cultural sensitivity and ability to work with women, girls, and diverse vulnerable groups in conservative community settings
  • Strong understanding of safeguarding, survivor confidentiality, informed consent, and Do No Harm principles
  • Ability to handle stressful situations and manage complex GBV cases including survivors exposed to violence, exploitation, or severe trauma
  • Conduct safe referrals to specialized services including health care, psychosocial support, legal aid, and safe shelters
  • Follow up on referrals to ensure survivors receive timely and appropriate support
  • Support community outreach and awareness activities on GBV risks and available services
  • Support safe data collection and reporting related to GBV services
  • Ensure all GBV activities follow survivor centered standards and donor and organizational guidelines
