Data Analyst Expert

The Data Analyst Expert will:

• Develop a data analysis methodology and workplan aligned with the project objectives.
• Review and analyze available quantitative and qualitative data related to detention conditions, legal aid, and gender-sensitive treatment within the Lebanese justice system.
• Identify key trends, patterns, and gaps within the available data.
• Produce statistical analysis and data summaries to support the development of reports and legal briefs.
• Develop data visualizations (graphs, charts, and tables) that clearly present key findings and support advocacy messaging.
• Prepare a presentation summarizing the key findings, data analysis, and recommendations of the study to support advocacy and dissemination efforts with relevant stakeholders.
• Integrate feedback from the project team into analytical outputs.
• Present the findings to stakeholders at a dissemination event that you organize and deliver.
• Ensure accuracy, confidentiality, and ethical use of all data collected and analyzed

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Advanced university degree in Statistics, Data Science, Economics, Public Policy, Social Sciences, Law, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3–5 years of relevant professional experience in data analysis, research, or evidence-based policy work.
• Proven experience in analyzing complex datasets and producing analytical reports.
• Experience in producing data-driven reports, policy briefs, or research publications.
• Strong analytical and data visualization skills using tools such as Excel, SPSS, Power BI, or similar software.
• Knowledge of the Lebanese legal or justice system is an asset.
• Previous work related to detention, prison reform, women’s rights, or access to justice is highly desirable.
• Excellent analytical, writing, and communication skills.
• Fluency in Arabic and English (written and spoken).
