MSME Consultant – Economic Empowerment for Caregivers of children engaged in worst forms of child Labour – PROSPECTS Project

The MSME Consultant will support the implementation of livelihood and entrepreneurship activities aimed at strengthening the economic resilience of caregivers of children engaged in the Worst Forms of Child Labour (WFCL). The consultant will be responsible for assessing potential beneficiaries, supporting the selection process, and contributing technical expertise during entrepreneurship and financial education trainings. In collaboration with the project team and the ILO-certified SYB/GYB trainer, the consultant will help identify eligible participants, guide the development of viable business ideas, and support the selection of trainees for small grant opportunities.

Following the training phase, the consultant will provide tailored business coaching and technical support to selected beneficiaries to facilitate the successful establishment and early operation of their micro and small businesses. This will include reviewing and validating business plans, advising on basic financial management and startup operations, monitoring progress, and addressing challenges faced by beneficiaries. The consultant will also contribute to project documentation and reporting by providing assessment summaries, technical notes on training support, and progress updates on business coaching and startup performance.
