We are looking for a Senior Social Worker to support protection programming for internally displaced persons (IDPs) in North Lebanon. The Senior Social Worker will lead on complex and high-risk cases, provide technical supervision to social workers, and strengthen quality, coordination, referrals, and reporting across case management and related protection activities.

Main Tasks:
Case management leadership and high-risk cases
- Handle complex and high-risk cases involving individuals and families among IDPs in the north
- Ensure safe, confidential, and timely case management in line with national standards
Technical guidance and supervision
- Provide technical guidance and supervision to social workers offering CP, GBV, and general protection case management for IDPs in line with national standards
- Support case planning, decision-making, documentation quality, and adherence to ethical and safeguarding principles
Cash assistance oversight
- Ensure and approve provision of emergency cash assistance and recurrent cash assistance after discussion and review
- Support teams to apply transparent criteria and appropriate documentation, while ensuring confidentiality
Caseload and team coordination
- Manage caseload distribution between social workers to ensure timely follow-up and appropriate workload balance
- Ensure proper tracking of beneficiaries and timely reporting
Coordination and referral pathways
- Liaise with relevant NGOs, government agencies, and national institutions in the area to maintain a network and cooperation
- Update regularly the service mapping to ensure timely and proper referral mechanism
Support to protection activities in the field
- Support staff in field work related to the implementation of protection activities such as psychosocial support, case management, and awareness sessions
Requirements:
- Degree in social work, psychology, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience
- Strong experience in protection case management, including CP and GBV, and in handling complex and high-risk cases
- Demonstrated experience supervising, coaching, or technically supporting case workers or social workers
- Strong knowledge of national standards, safe referrals, confidentiality, and survivor-centered and child-centered approaches
- Ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders and maintain updated referral pathways and service mapping
- Strong reporting and documentation skills, including tracking and quality assurance of case files
Preferred Skills:
- Strong leadership, mentoring, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to support a team under pressure
- Excellent coordination and communication skills with communities, partners, and institutions
- Ability to analyze protection trends and use data for planning, prioritization, and reporting
- Experience overseeing cash assistance related to protection cases, including review and approval processes
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to humanitarian principles, safeguarding, and accountability
