GENERAL MEDICAL DOCTOR

Accountabilities:

• Carry out outpatient and inpatient consultations, including diagnosis, treatment, and prevention, in line with MSF protocols.
• Prescribe appropriate treatment and ensure patients and/or their families are adequately informed about the illness, treatment plan, and follow-up, verifying understanding.
• Follow up hospitalized patients through daily visits, examinations, and consultations; decide on discharge or referral in collaboration with other doctors and inform families about patient evolution.
• Ensure rational use and proper management of medicines and medical equipment under own responsibility, including quality control, disinfection, and sterilization of medical materials.
• Ensure compliance with universal hygiene standards and infection prevention and control measures at all times.
• Participate in the collection, analysis, and validation of epidemiological data and report any medical errors, complications, or issues related to patient care, equipment, or department functioning to the line manager or project coordinator.
• Contribute to ongoing training and supervision of the medical and paramedical multidisciplinary team to optimize quality of care.
• Ensure all MSF medical protocols are known, followed, and implemented correctly, including confidentiality and bio-hazard risk reduction.
• Manage and supervise the team under direct responsibility according to MSF HR policies and procedures, including performance supervision, shift organization, and participation in emergencies and on-call duties when required.

Requirements:

Education: Essential: Medical Doctor Diploma

Experience: Essential: Minimum 2 years of experience as a Medical Doctor or in clinical work (experience during medical training accepted)

Languages: Essential: Full proficiency in Arabic and English
