The Nawaya Network is an NGO based in Beirut, Lebanon that develops the income-generating opportunities of youth through entrepreneurship, employability, and economic development programs.
We are seeking a Business Coach to fulfill the below tasks and responsibilities:
- Attends graduations in designated labs (STC North & Mount Lebanon) and actively assists in the judging panel to choose teams that are to be accepted to the incubation phase based on a developed scoring sheet.
- Attends incubation sessions with the youth at the UNRWA lab (North Lab or Sibline)
- Guides youth through marketing and branding strategies.
- Reviews business models and provides constructive business development feedback based on the coaching curriculum over a period of 8-10 sessions in the presence of concerned UNRWA personnel.
- Works closely with the Incubation Coordinator to streamline processes and ensure procurement takes place ethically and effectively with various concerned stakeholders.
- Attends weekly incubation meetings with the Incubation Coordinator and Program Coordinator as deemed necessary.
- Updates Tahaki on a weekly basis with the close oversight conducted by the coordinator.
- Ensures that reliable and quality data is being collected as requested by the M&E Specialist.
- Responsible for ensuring that all data integrated on the internal databases (examples incubation seed funding sheets, etc) and/or Tahaki are 100% complete and accurate one month before the deadline (min 1 week), in order for M&E team to have the adequate time to finalize the report and amend if need be.
- Reports regularly to the Incubation Coordinator all issues and problems faced in order to take immediate action steps and make sure the program objectives are being met.
- Participates actively in all emails sent by the M&E team with the purpose of updating the existing system and guaranteeing an effective centralized data management process.
- Reports any successful teams/interesting stories for the Marketing and Communication Department.
- Collects various supporting documents of each payment request following the selection of supplier made by the Senior Procurement Officer.
- Gathers one quotation from a supplier per team to assist the Procurement Unit in the collection of offers with a close and continuous communication set with the senior procurement officer and incubation coordinator.
- Disburses payments to the teams (directly paid to the suppliers) on a milestone basis as per the recently established Procurement System at Nawaya.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education: Business Degree
Experience:
5 years working experience in the field - Coaching experience is a plus especially for vulnerable youth.
Competencies:
Experience in coaching/public speaking, assisting in developing training material, business ability, self-discipline, ability to deal eloquently and effectively with internal and external stakeholders, organizational behavior, process and result-oriented.
