ALDIC

The Lebanese Association for Taxpayers' Rights (ALDIC) was established and declared by the Lebanese Ministry of Interior on August 8, 2012, under number / 1399 /, and was registered at the Ministry of Finance under number /2989418/.
Its main objective at the time of its creation was to promote tax citizenship by informing citizens about their rights and obligations and by enlightening them on issues, in particular, to encourage them to demand better control over the management of public funds at all levels of administration.
ALDIC is apolitical, non-partisan, and non-denominational and will ensure that the rights of all taxpayers are defended without discrimination and with complete independence.
Public finances are the backbone of state policy. It is through the effective management of public funds that the modern state can achieve the ultimate mission assigned to it, namely that of ensuring the well-being of citizens by guaranteeing them access to education, health, employment, and retirement, as well as several public services.
However, the proper management of public funds requires the active participation of citizens who, in a democratic system such as Lebanon, have not only the right but also the duty to hold their representatives accountable.
It is therefore, by becoming aware of the role that civil society must play that ALDIC was created and that it has set itself, among other missions, that of promoting knowledge and civic-mindedness in tax matters. It also proposes, thanks to its expertise, to work and collaborate with the competent public authorities for an overhaul of the budgetary and fiscal systems in force.
