Further to supporting the Project WAMA+ team in achieving Output 3, namely strengthening the capacity of the four Water Establishments (WEs) to assume responsibility for wastewater collection and treatment services, this consultancy aims to ensure the continuity and effective utilization of previously developed deliverables, while reinforcing stakeholder alignment and institutional ownership across the WEs, the Ministry of Energy and Water, and relevant sector actors.
Tasks to be performed by the contractor:
- Planning, Coordination, and Reporting
- Mobile Wastewater Laboratory Finalization, Demonstration, and Handover
- Capacity Building, On-site and On-the-Job Training
- Chekka WWTP OPEX pilot
- KPI Revision, and Wastewater Performance Reporting
- procurement and small-scale infrastructure
- Public Relations and Reporting
Tasks of the Expert 1
- Overall responsibility for the advisory packages of the contractor (quality and deadlines)
- Coordinating and ensuring communication with GIZ, partners and others involved in the project
- Personnel management, in particular identifying the need for short-term assignments within the available budget, as well as planning and steering assignments and supporting technical experts.
- Regular reporting in accordance with deadlines.

1. Expression of Interest
All interested bidders are required to send an email expressing their interest to participate in this tender to LB_quotation@giz.de. This will enable GIZ’s Procurement Unit to share any clarifications, amendments, and the Financial Offer in Excel Format & Self Declaration Template or updates related to the tender, including responses to inquiries received.

Any responses that are of general interest will be communicated simultaneously in writing to all companies who have submitted an expression of interest.
3. Submission of tenders and requests to participate
The editable templates (Word, Excel) provided by GIZ in electronic form must be used to prepare the request to participate or a tender.
The tender must be submitted electronically to the designated mailbox. The subject of the email must always state the tender number (please find the email address and the tender no. in the invitation letter).
