The consultant will identify and analyze key stakeholders, donor priorities, funding trends, and engagement approaches relevant to the humanitarian-development-peace nexus, with a particular focus on opportunities for local and refugee-led organizations. The consultancy will also examine funding modalities and strategic entry points for continued engagement and collaboration.
Based on the findings, the consultant will develop a sustainability and engagement strategy for the TNP, outlining practical pathways for continued coordination, advocacy, and strategic positioning beyond ALEF’s direct support.
Scope of Work
The Consultant will be responsible for the following:
- Conducting stakeholder and donor mapping for triple nexus sustainability
- Identifying key stakeholders, donors, and relevant actors within the humanitarian-development-peace nexus ecosystem.
- Analyzing donor priorities, funding trends, funding modalities, and engagement approaches relevant to local and refugee-led organizations.
- Developing a sustainability and engagement strategy for the TNP
- Drafting a strategy outlining pathways for continued coordination, advocacy, and stakeholder engagement beyond the project period.
- Providing practical recommendations to strengthen the positioning and sustainability of WG PASC members within the broader triple nexus ecosystem.
- Supporting dissemination and collective ownership of findings
- Incorporating feedback from WG PASC members into the final strategy document.
Vacancy Period
The consultancy is expected to be delivered during 2026. A more detailed timeframe can be agreed upon with the consultant.
Deliverables
- Stakeholder and donor mapping report focused on triple nexus sustainability, including an analysis of donor priorities, funding trends, and engagement approaches;
- Sustainability and engagement strategy for the WG PASC Triple Nexus Platform; and
- Presentation of findings and recommendations during the final WG PASC retreat.
Qualifications
- Advanced university degree in Political Science, International Relations, Development Studies, Social Sciences, or related field experience;
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in stakeholder analysis, donor mapping, strategy development, or organizational sustainability support for CSOs or NGOs;
- Strong understanding of the triple nexus approach and civil society coordination mechanisms;
- Fluency in English and good knowledge of Arabic; and
- Strong analytical, research, facilitation, and report writing skills.
