Communications Officer for the Ministry of Social Affairs

The Consultant will be evaluated based on the following criteria: •A relevant Bachelor’s degree and preferably post-graduate degree (Master’s or higher) in communications, media or social sciences and a minimum of 5 years or more of relevant experience in the communications sector. •Solid work experience in communications in Lebanon; Regional/International experience is a plus. •Experience working with international media /UN/NGOS/Donors in Lebanon for more than one year. •Proven experience in the planning, design, and implementation of communication strategies; preferably in fragile/conflict/post-conflict countries. •Demonstrated understanding of the political-economy in Lebanon and familiarity with crisis communications. •Solid knowledge of the Lebanese media and civil society landscape. •Experience in contemporary best practices around social media, campaigns, opinion surveys. •Ability to synthesize and organize complex information into clear, public-oriented documents. •Strong organizational, interpersonal, communication, and diplomatic skills. •Ability to work independently, to prioritize workload and to remain calm under pressure in a changing work environment; and •Excellent oral and written command of Arabic and English.
