Job Description:

The Fundraising Officer will be responsible for securing financial support to ensure the effective functioning and continuity of the NGO’s activities. This role involves identifying funding opportunities, building relationships with donors, developing fundraising strategies, and securing funds for the NGO.

This is a two-year position, with possibility of extension depending on funding.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Identify and pursue funding opportunities from local and international donors, institutions, and partners

Develop and implement fundraising strategies and campaigns

Prepare grant proposals, funding applications, and donor reports for donors secured by the applicant, specifically related to the funds acquired during the project

Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential donors

Organize fundraising events and initiatives

Collaborate with the team to align fundraising efforts with organizational goals

Maintain accurate records of funding sources and contributions

 

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business, Communications, Social Sciences, or related)

Previous experience in fundraising or grant writing is required

Established network of potential donors and funding organizations, with demonstrated ability to mobilize these relationships to secure funding

Strong written and verbal communication skills (English, Arabic, French)

Excellent organizational and research skills

Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

Passion for social impact and community development
