Key responsibilities
1.Manage and coordinate the implementation of rural development activities and initiatives in the reserve
2.Monitor and record sales data for rural products at entrances and points of sale, including souvenir items
3.Follow up with women’s cooperatives, workshops, and product agents to ensure high product quality, hygiene, and compliance with standards
4.Coordinate and follow up on organic certification processes with relevant bodies
5.Develop and maintain a categorized annual product list aligned with workshops and production cycles
6.Conduct research on rural development best practices and adapt relevant approaches
7.Contribute to improving existing projects and proposing new initiatives that meet community needs
8.Work closely with local producers, farmers, and artisans to provide guidance and technical support
9.Organize events and training sessions to enhance production, quality standards, and business skills, while encouraging women and youth participation
10.Support the development of local products (food, handicrafts, natural goods), including improving packaging, branding, and labeling
11.Ensure all products comply with quality, hygiene, and environmental standards while preserving cultural heritage
12.Identify market opportunities and support access to local and international markets
13.Build partnerships with retailers, NGOs, and distributors, and support participation in fairs and exhibitions
14.Assist in pricing strategies and sales planning
15.Plan, implement, and monitor rural development projects, including budgets, timelines, and deliverables
16.Prepare monthly and annual reports, ensuring alignment with organizational and donor requirements
17.Promote environmentally sustainable practices and ensure compliance with conservation policies
18.Raise awareness on the sustainable use of natural resources
19.Manage inventory and stock levels of rural products and souvenir items, ensuring accurate tracking, proper storage, and timely replenishment to avoid shortages or overstock
20.Follow up on laboratory testing of products to ensure compliance with quality, safety, and regulatory standards
Requirements for position
•Fluent in Arabic and English (Oral and written)
•Computer literacy, including knowledge of MS office applications, basic software applications and familiarity with the internet and email communications
•Ability to manage people from different backgrounds and high coordination abilities
Educational qualifications/ experience
•Bachelor’s degree in Community Development, Rural Development, Agriculture, Environmental Sciences, Social Sciences, Business Administration, or a related field
•5 years of professional experience in community development role
•Demonstrable experience of delivery of community development initiatives
