AI Productivity & Automation Expert - Lebanon Innovate - Call for Proposal

Context & Background

Berytech is a leading organization in the Entrepreneurial Ecosystem in Lebanon, that aims to provide a conducive environment for the creation and development of startups, through incubation, business support, counseling, funding, networking, and company hosting, hence taking part in the economic revival of the country, participating in wealth and job creation, and retaining graduates and high-level skills in Lebanon.

About Lebanon Innovate Project

Lebanon Innovate is a 42-month European Union-funded initiative, aimed at advancing Lebanese research into market-ready innovations in key sectors such as Information and Communication Technology (ICT), healthcare, and agrifood. The program is designed to enhance Lebanon's entrepreneurial ecosystem, encouraging partnerships between academia and industry, and emphasizing intellectual property protection and international networking to catalyze economic and innovative development in Lebanon.

The program aims to:

  • Enhance competitiveness in sectors like agrifood, healthcare, and ICT.
  • Support stakeholder empowerment for knowledge sharing and commercialization.
  • Foster industry-academia partnerships for innovation.
  • Connect with European countries and diaspora networks for global market access.

This Terms of Reference (TOR) falls under one of the key activities of the Lebanon Innovate Program, specifically aimed at empowering and operationalizing the newly established Knowledge & Innovation Communities (KICs) across the Agrifood, Healthcare, and ICT sectors.

About the Knowledge and Innovation Communities (KICs)

Through the Lebanon Innovate program, Berytech has established three Knowledge & Innovation Communities (KICs) spanning the Agrifood, Healthcare, and ICT sectors. These communities actively bring together academia, industry professionals, government representatives, and Business Support Organizations (BSOs) around a shared innovation agenda targeted at promoting knowledge and technology transfer in Lebanon.

As these communities scale their activities, KIC management teams are increasingly burdened by routine administrative and operational tasks. This administrative load diverts their attention from higher-value strategic work: fostering innovation, building partnerships, and advancing technology transfer.

To address this, an expert consultant is required to design and deliver hands-on AI Productivity training that equips KIC members with practical tools and workflows to automate repetitive tasks, streamline operations, and ultimately free up their capacity to focus on what matters most: Driving impact across Lebanon’s innovation ecosystem.

Scope of Work & Methodology

Berytech is seeking an experienced AI Productivity & Automation Expert to design, customize, and deliver a hands-on training program for approximately 45 KIC members across the Agrifood, Healthcare, and ICT sectors. The training should move participants from foundational AI awareness to practical, daily application, with a strong emphasis on workflow automation and operational efficiency.

The consultant will be working on the following areas:

  • Pre-Workshop Diagnostics & Customization:
    • Identify key administrative challenges, technical skill levels, and operational bottlenecks across the Agrifood, Healthcare, and ICT communities.
    • Adapt exercises, templates, and case studies to match participants’ daily workflows and real needs.
  • Training Delivery:
    • The consultant should propose a structured training program that builds participants' AI literacy and equips them with practical skills to integrate AI tools into their daily work. The training should be interactive, hands-on, and adapted to a multi-sector audience with varying levels of technical familiarity.
    • The training should result in participants being able to apply AI tools to real, sector-specific workflows. Key operational areas to address include, but are not limited to: community management, event coordination, knowledge sharing, and stakeholder communication.
    • The consultant should propose an approach to ensure knowledge retention and practical adoption beyond the training sessions, including any toolkits, guides, or follow-up support mechanisms.
Deliverables

The consultant is expected to submit a consolidated list of the deliverables below:

  • Training Material Package: Fully tailored training materials (exercises, templates, and case studies adapted to each community)
  • AI Training & Enablement Toolkit: A practical, ready-to-use toolkit that participants can reference and apply independently after the training, covering AI tools, prompting techniques, and workflow automation guidance relevant to their daily tasks.
  • Training Completion Report: A concise report documenting the training delivery, participant engagement, key outcomes, and recommendations for continued AI adoption within the KIC communities.
Qualifications
  • A degree in Marketing, Economics, Business Administration, Public Health, ICT, or a related field. An advanced degree (MBA, MPH, or equivalent) is preferred.
  • At least 5 years of proven experience in AI, digital transformation, innovation management, or delivering applied technology training programs across multi-sector environments (Agrifood, Healthcare, ICT).
  • Strong expertise in generative AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude) and custom AI assistant development, including prompt engineering and workflow automation design.
  • Demonstrated ability to design and deliver interactive, hands-on training workshops, ideally for researchers, startups, SMEs, or ecosystem-based programs.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to map workflows, identify operational bottlenecks, and translate them into AI-driven solutions and practical use cases.
  • Ability to assess organizational needs and tailor content, exercises, and tools to different technical skill levels and sector-specific requirements.
  • Deep understanding of innovation ecosystems, with familiarity in cross-sector dynamics (Agrifood, Healthcare, and ICT) considered an advantage.
