Call for Applicants "Medic Training Course"

About the Course
The Medic Course is designed to equip participants with the essential knowledge and practical skills required to provide effective emergency medical care in both routine and high-risk environments. The training focuses on casualty assessment, trauma management, life-saving interventions, and casualty evacuation procedures in accordance with internationally recognized emergency medical standards and best practices.

Participants receive comprehensive instruction in scene safety, triage, hemorrhage control, airway management, cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), trauma care, shock management, burns treatment, casualty packaging and transportation, and emergency medical protocols. The course combines theoretical learning with practical exercises to develop the confidence and competence required to respond effectively to medical emergencies and traumatic injuries.

Upon successful completion of the course, participants are awarded a certificate recognizing their competency in pre-hospital trauma care and emergency medical response.

Please note that participation in the course does not guarantee employment.

Eligibility Criteria
Candidates interested in applying for this training should meet the following criteria:

  • Age: Above 18 years of age.
  • Education: Strong literacy and numeracy skills
  • Physical Fitness: Good physical condition to meet the demands of medical tasks.
  • Previous experience as a Medic
  • Must have a valid driving License
  • Location: Applicants from all areas are welcome to apply and residents of south Lebanon specifically are highly encouraged to apply.
  • Ability to be deployed from the MAG base to multiple regions across Lebanon, including Nabatieh, the Beqaa Valley, South Lebanon, and the Chouf region.
  • Commitment: Willingness to complete a training of Four weeks period and adhere to safety protocols.

Please note that prior experience in humanitarian work or mine action is not required but is an advantage.

  • Location: To be determined.
  • Start Date: To be determined.
  • Cost: No cost, the trainee will be paid 25$/ day to cover the daily transportation and meal expenses.
